Ticket cancellation and refund policy

When you make any purchase from Academy Achievers (“we” or “us”) for any of our educational programmes (“Events”), this Ticket Cancellation and Refund Policy applies. If you have any questions about this policy, please contact us via email at admin@academyachievers.co.uk.

1. Pricing Errors

Whilst we try to ensure that all prices are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover a pricing error, we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming the relevant order at the correct price by way of a partial refund from us or an additional charge, as applicable. Alternatively, you may cancel your order in advance of the Event in return for a full refund of any payment made.

2. Cancellation Procedure

All cancellation notices must be in accordance with the rules set out in this paragraph 2 (the “Cancellation Procedure”).

We recognise that sometimes plans change and you must withdraw your child from an Event. If your child can no longer attend or must withdraw from an Event, please notify us of the cancellation in writing as soon as possible, to enable another child to take their place. We or you may provide a cancellation notice, requesting either a rescheduling or a refund of the applicable Event. Rescheduling is subject to conditions under paragraph 3 below (the “Rescheduling Procedure”), and refunds are subject to conditions under paragraph 4 below (the “Refund Procedure”).

We may provide a cancellation notice to you at least 24 hours in advance of the applicable Event. Upon cancellation by us, we will offer you the option of either a full refund or a reschedule in accordance with the Refund Procedure or Rescheduling Procedure, respectively.

All cancellation notifications must be made to us via email to admin@academyachievers.co.uk, and must include the name and date of the Event, the child’s name, and, if applicable, whether you wish to reschedule the booking or obtain a refund. If you wish to obtain a refund, you must provide us with the details of the credit/debit card used to make the original purchase.

3. Rescheduling Procedure

If you issue a cancellation notice in accordance with the Cancellation Procedure, requesting a reschedule, we shall endeavour to reschedule your booking for any alternate date(s) on which the Event is scheduled and available for booking at the time of cancellation. You are not entitled to a refund for any rescheduled Event.

If we are unable to reschedule your booking, your original cancellation notice will be deemed a refund request and we shall determine your eligibility for a refund in accordance with the Refund Procedure.

4. Refund Procedure

If you request a refund following a cancellation by us, we shall issue a full refund of the applicable ticket price. If you issue a cancellation notice in accordance with the Cancellation Procedure, requesting a refund, we shall only issue refunds if either of the following conditions apply:

  • if you notify us of your cancellation at least 7 days prior to the first day of the Event, we shall issue a full refund of the applicable ticket price; or
  • if you notify us at least 24 hours prior (but less than 7 days prior) to the first day of the Event, we shall issue a refund of 50% of the applicable ticket price.

Any cancellation requests received less than 24 hours in advance of an event, or which do not otherwise comply with the Cancellation Procedure, will not be refundable, except in the case of a pricing error.

You may not reschedule an Event if we have already issued a full or partial refund for that Event.

Please allow up to 10 business days for your refund to be processed. Refunds are typically issued to the payment method used to make the original purchase.

Please email admin@academyachievers.co.uk if you have any other concerns/questions regarding payments.

5. Extenuating Circumstances

We understand that at times, your child must withdraw from or may not be able to attend camp due to unforeseen hardships. We may, at our reasonable discretion, provide a full or partial refund or reschedule an event without additional charge in cases where the refund or rescheduling conditions are not met, in the following circumstances:

  • Unexpected medical condition affecting the child or their immediate/nuclear family.
  • Death in the immediate/nuclear family.
  • Severe, unexpected financial hardship.

Please email admin@academyachievers.co.uk should any of the above occur.

6. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

Any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with this policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with this policy or its subject matter or formation.

7. Force majeure

Neither us nor you shall be in breach of this agreement or otherwise liable for any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations if such delay or failure results from events, circumstances or causes beyond their reasonable control. The time for performance of such obligations shall be extended accordingly. If the period of delay or non-performance continues for 30 days, we shall cancel any booking(s) made and issue you with a full refund.

8. Waiver

A waiver of any right or remedy is only effective if given in writing and shall not be deemed a waiver of any subsequent right or remedy.

A delay or failure to exercise, or the single or partial exercise of, any right or remedy shall not waive that or any other right or remedy, nor shall it prevent or restrict the further exercise of that or any other right or remedy.

9. Severance

If any provision or part-provision of this policy is or becomes invalid, illegal or unenforceable, it shall be deemed deleted, but that shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the rest of this policy.

If any provision or part-provision of this agreement is deemed deleted, we shall negotiate in good faith with you to agree a replacement provision that, to the greatest extent possible, achieves the intended result of the original provision.

10. Third party rights

This policy does not give rise to any rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any term of this policy.
